We are pleased that relaxation of Covid restrictions is making it possible to contemplate a programme of events this year although they are, of course, subject to change in line with any government restrictions which might be imposed.
FoAM and all the volunteers in Northwich Woodlands are delighted that our efforts were recognised by the judges in the RHS Britain in Bloom and Green Flag Awards. Marbury Park received a Gold Medal Award in the RHS Large Parks Category 2021 and Marbury Park also received the 2021 Environmental Award.
In addition, Friends of Anderton and Marbury Country Park Volunteers were presented with the 2021 Award for Outstanding Contribution and were also given a special award of a trophy in recognition of this outstanding contribution. Since 2005, this trophy has been given to local authorities and similar bodies and this is the first time it has been awarded to a Friends Group.
