Marbury Country Park

Marbury Country Park

A former residence of the Smith-Barry family, Marbury Country Park is now managed by Cheshire West and Chester Council as a country park. The walks and trails take visitors through the historical landscape which includes the magnificent Lime Avenues.  The Arboretum and raised terraces provide glimpses of Budworth Mere. The ancient woodland, open parkland and streams provide a rich haven for a host of wildlife from Bats to Beetles.

Visitors are able to enjoy the children’s play area orienteering course and a range of events throughout the year. Marbury Country Park also hosts the Cheshire West and Chester, Countryside Rangers’ Office.

There has been an open-air pool at Marbury since the early 1930’s.  The pool remains open with entry for members and guests only.
