Marbury and Witton Flashes Bird Report 2021
Greg Baker has again produced an annual report which details sightings in the Northwich Woodlands, known as Marbury and Witton Flashes by local birders. The Report includes sightings and photographs by Greg and other local birdwatchers.
Further lockdowns have been at least partially responsible for increasing visitor numbers which unfortunately creates worrying levels of environmental abuse and disturbance to wildlife. Nonetheless, it remains a fabulous place for watching birds.
2021 produced the first ever sighting of Blue-winged Teal. Information on scarcer species and, just as importantly, the common avifauna is fundamental to the composition of this annual report.
