Volunteer

You can volunteer to help in the Northwich Woodlands in two
main ways:

Volunteer with FoAM

We hope you may be able to give up part of your time and volunteer to assist FoAM. This can be by joining the Committee of Trustees which manages the group, or by assisting with organising and running the group’s activities and events, helping with its newsletters and publicity, helping with its accounts, developing its projects or helping with its funding applications.

If you can help, this will be much appreciated. To find out more, please contact any Committee member or email: foam@merseyforest.org.uk

Volunteer with Cheshire West and Chester’s Countryside Officers

The Council’s Countryside Officers are always looking for volunteers who play a very important role helping look after the Woodlands, working alongside paid members of their team. Without volunteers, services would not be able to operate as effectively as they do. Normal volunteer days at Northwich Woodlands are Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 4.00pm.

To find out more, either call in at the Rangers’ Cabin at Marbury or email: marbury@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk

We hope that all volunteers in the Woodlands will also want to join FoAM to support our activities, and around 35 of the regular volunteers with the Countryside Officers are also members of FoAM.
